Why do you want to become a Technology Asset Manager?
I would like to advance in my career so that I can provide further insights into my company’s decisions.
What are you doing now?
Technology Asset Management Coordinator.
How long have you decided to make the change?
Earlier this year.
Are you happy with starting the change?
I sure am!
How do you go about making this career move?
I have started to study for the certifications needed, as well as get more involved into ITAM matters and everything related to it.
What don’t go well? What ‘wrong turns’ have you taken?
So far, organizing my time so that I’m able to study and follow through has been a challenge. But I’m determined to achieve my goal by the end of this year.
What is the most difficult thing about changing?
In my case it has been time availability.
What have you already learned in the process?
I have learned that once you’re motivated and determined to follow through your goals, anything can be achieved!
What would you advise others to do in the same situation?
To never settle in life and never give up on your dreams and desires. Even when things are rough there’s always a positive outcome following through. Keep dreaming and keep achieving!
